Laravel: should the docroot be public/, or the whole repo?

I created a Laravel template — docroot already points at public/, like production. If I drop a client archive with composer.json at the repo root and public/ inside — will MacFullStack find it, or do I hand-edit nginx?

MacFullStack

It will find it. For Laravel the web root is public/ (index.php). The card and Health show that. artisan, .env, and vendor/ live one level above.

A foreign archive: detection looks at common layouts (Laravel/public, Bitrix root, Drupal/Symfony web/). That is the “I dragged a GitHub / hosting zip” path, not templates-only. If it picked the wrong folder, set docroot on the card and sync vhosts.

You can scaffold Laravel from the app on Free. A second Laravel beside it is Pro.

Help: /help/docroot, /help/templates.
