FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Plans, checkout, activation, and the local Mac stack — in one place.
How is MacFullStack different from Herd or MAMP?
MacFullStack is a full stack (PHP, MySQL/MariaDB, Redis, nginx, mkcert), Native by default without Docker, plus proxy for Next.js/Django. Free — one PHP project; Pro/Teams — unlimited projects and extra services. Compare.
Why is a local server so annoying?
Not one bug — the ritual: environment setup, different PHP versions, domains, foreign CMS archives, mail, deploy, and ten windows. MacFullStack bundles that into one app — see the “Local server” section on the home page.
How do I pay for Pro or Teams?
Is there a promo code?
Yes: LAUNCH10 gives −10% at checkout. You can pass it in the URL: /buy/pro?promo=LAUNCH10
Do I need Docker?
No. Native is the default. Docker is available when you want CI-like isolation.
How do I renew?
Reminders are sent 30, 14, and 3 days before expiry. Renewal is a new Pro/Teams purchase on the same email; activate the key in the app.
What is in Free?
One PHP project, MySQL/MariaDB, Redis, Mailpit, phpMyAdmin. No Postgres, no Node/Python proxy, no Share.
Where are my projects stored?
~/MacFullStack/www/ (or legacy ~/MacStack/www/). App data lives in ~/Library/Application Support/MacFullStack/.
How do I contact support?
Contact form or the email from the public offer. Replies on business days.
