Importing projects from Herd and Valet

Storage → Import Herd/Valet: symlink, docroot, vhosts without copying gigabytes.

Leaving Laravel Herd or Valet? You do not have to recreate every site by hand.

What MacFullStack does

Storage → Import Herd/Valet scans common paths (~/Herd, Valet, MAMP) and attaches projects without copying (symlink). After import:

  • Docroot is detected for Native nginx
  • Vhosts are rebuilt for *.localhost or your .test zone
  • PHP pin and .env hosts can be fixed on the project card

MVP limit: full Herd Pro dump migration is a separate flow; normal folder + DB transfer works. Docs: /help/import-herd-valet.

Post-import checklist

  1. Stack — MySQL/Redis running.
  2. .env: DB_HOST is 127.0.0.1 in Native, mysql in Docker.
  3. Sync vhosts if you added .test.
  4. Compare with Herd: /compare.

Pro removes the Free “one PHP project” limit and enables Node/Python proxy — pricing.
